Building the
infrastructure for
accessible screening.

Malaya United is building the healthcare infrastructure needed to make advanced cervical screening accessible across the Philippines. It pairs logistics expertise with clinical partnerships to close the cervical-screening gap.

Mission

Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers. We're closing the last mile.

Founded to bridge the gap between proven HPV-DNA screening science and the millions of Filipino women who never reach a clinic, Malaya United Trading Inc. combines a manufacturing partnership with eDNA Teknoloji (Türkiye), a logistics-first distribution model, and active engagement with Philippine public health policy.

Persistent infection with high-risk HPV is the main cause of cervical cancer. CarciScan is a PCR-based HPV DNA screening assay designed to identify high-risk HPV in eligible samples; the result helps determine which women need further clinical evaluation, closing the gap between infection and diagnosis before it becomes disease.

The access gap

Science already exists.
Access is the missing infrastructure.

Advanced HPV-DNA screening technology has existed for years. The reason it still doesn't reach most Filipino women has never been a scientific one.

  1. 01

    The science already exists.

PCR-based HPV DNA screening is established, well-understood laboratory technology, sensitive enough to identify high-risk HPV long before it becomes disease. That part of the problem was solved years ago.

  2. 02

Yet many women remain outside the pathway.

Distance, cost, and the simple absence of a nearby facility keep millions of Filipino women outside any effective screening pathway. Not because the science can't reach them, but because the pathway to it usually doesn't.

  3. 03

A laboratory result alone is not enough.

An accurate result sitting inside a laboratory changes nothing for a woman who never learns it, or who has nowhere to go once she does. Science becomes care only when a result actually reaches a person, and is acted on.

  4. 04

Access is a chain, not a single step.

Reaching a woman with a real answer requires specimen collection, a laboratory with the capacity to process it, logistics that protect the specimen along the way, a secure digital pathway for the result, and a clinician to act on a referral. Break any one link and the chain fails quietly.

  5. 05

Malaya United is building that chain in the Philippines.

Malaya United is assembling the infrastructure that connects self-collection of a specimen, laboratory processing, cold-chain logistics, secure digital results, and clinical referral and follow-up into a single working pathway, built to reach every barangay, not only the capital.

  6. 06

The intended outcome: access, confidence, and freedom.

When the chain holds, a woman doesn't have to choose between distance and prevention. The intended outcome isn't only a result. It's the confidence of knowing, and the freedom that comes from having somewhere to go next.

The outcome we're building toward
How it works

A screening pathway built for every barangay, not just the capital.

Distance shouldn't decide whether a woman can access prevention. Malaya United's model is designed to carry a sample from a community health post to a qualified laboratory and back again, even across islands and hard-to-reach communities.

01

Community access

Screening starts where women already are: barangay health posts and community outreach, not only distant clinics.

02

Documented sample transport

Each collected sample is logged and carried under a documented chain of custody from the community to the lab network.

03

Controlled cold-chain handling

Samples are kept under controlled cold-chain conditions in transit, protecting sample integrity across long-distance routes.

04

Qualified PCR laboratories

Testing runs on a PCR-based HPV DNA assay in a qualified laboratory setting, built for accuracy over speed.

05

Secure digital results

Results are returned through a secure digital pathway, so a woman and her care team aren't waiting on paper in transit.

06

Accountable follow-up care

A positive result is connected to further clinical evaluation, closing the loop instead of leaving a result unread.

Screening results are not a cancer diagnosis. A positive result indicates a need for further clinical evaluation, not a confirmed diagnosis.
